Taking a close up look at these busts, they almost seem to come alive.

Desert Wander (Meditation) - Early '00

I spent my teenage years traversing depression and anxiety. To help, I used to take long, early morning walks in the desert which helped me evolve into adulthood. There was a profoundness in my environment that I became deeply connected to. This highly personal piece is a sort of homage to my youth. The very end of the video is a Board of Canada audio clip.

Back in college, I was going to the Getty Museum quite often to see the Bill Viola exhibit. I felt inspired by Bill Viola's studies and his work, and rifted on that mindset, combining my illustration style with motifs form illuminated manuscripts and old religious painting.
